The Middle Section of Hongirana school had organized scout and guide overnight camp on 19th and 20th December 2016 for class VII. It was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Girish (S.M.), Mr. Veeresh (S.M.), Mr. Vasudev (S.M.), Mrs. Mamatha Bagi (G.Cpt.) and Mrs. Hema (G.Cpt.) at Haratalu, which was 15 Kms away from the school campus.
The enthusiastic day began with flag procedure followed by theory class. Students learnt various knottings with other activities like tent making, cook without fire and survey on social and economic condition of the village. In the later part of the evening they started preparing themselves for CCA programmes. Post dinner the children set off for a moonlight walk.
On 20th , their dawn began with B.P six exercises and kit inspection. Later they set off for an adventurous trekking that was a wonderful experience. After coming back from trekking, they cleaned the premises, had their lunch and returned back with new thoughts.
A camp away from home taught them many values like courtesy, kindness, love and truthfulness. Students learnt to be co- operative, Independent, united, responsible and friendly.
