“68th Republic Day” celebrating the spirit of unity

The 68th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur by the Middle Section of Hongirana School on 26th January 2017. The school echoed with patriotic fervour and students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. To mark the importance of this day, a grand celebration was held in the school.

The vice principal Mr. Arvind Gurjar unfurled the National Flag, the students saluted and pledged themselves upholding the honour and integrity, diversity and uniqueness that is “India”.

The choir group presented the National Anthem and patriotic songs like Vande Matharam and Jandha Uncha Rahe Hamara. The whole school joined the choir and the song reverberated in the surroundings. Later, it was followed by the stage programme. The students brought the stage alive with the wonderful performance of mock parliament, beautiful dance and inspirational skit of Swami Vivekananda was spellbinding, including melodious classical songs in between.

The chief guest was Mr. Sathyanarayana N Naik, Assistant Account officer, Taluk Panchayat, Hosanagar, addressed the students with his inspirational words and Mr. Manjunatha Shetty V.K, Vice President of Grama Panchayat, Bheemana Kone gave the presidential remarks.

Lastly, the programme was concluded with vote of thanks and the students dispersed after sweets distribution with the image of the fluttering tricolour in their minds and feeling proud to be an Indian.
