The detailed highlights of that particular academic year is what is delivered to the audience on a school annual day programme which is really important information for all the stake holders. So, post sumptuous lunch in the afternoon, at around 3.30pm Varshikotsava – the formal function of 15th Annual year accomplishment was organized. Varshikotsava -2017-18 is a part of Hongiranotsava-2017-18 which narrates a detailed report about the on-goings of the entire year in the institution. The dignitaries on the diaz were Chief Guest Mr. Madhava Krishna Bhat, Managing Director, Business Direct Limited, Hongkong, Mr. William, well known author, Mr. B V Suresh, President of Sagar Academy of Education, honourable Principal Mrs. Shobha Ravindra, Vice Principal, Mr. Aravind Gurjar, Primary section Head Mrs. Kamala Gudigar, Middle section head Mrs. Rajashree, the college head Mrs. Ambika Patil and the residential warden Mr. Sunil Halethota.
The gathering was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Rajashree, Head Mistress of Middle Primary section and she introduced the dignitaries too. The highlights of the annual report for the academic year 2017-18 were delivered by our beloved Principal Mrs. Shobha Ravindra. The accomplishments of the year, the new endeavors ventured into and the involvement of the students in various fields of activities like Sports, Educational field trips, Cultural workshops, teacher empowerment and co-curricular activities of the institution were presented in the detailed report presented by the honourable Principal of the institution. It consisted of the information about perpetual efforts of the institution focusing on the holistic education along with overall development of its students. The Atal Tinkering Laboratory was one of the added feathers to the cap of the institution. She also elaborated about different projects which have been in practice like Parinithi- students empowerment plan, Samagra – Integrated Textbook development plan, Unnati – teachers empowerment plan, Kushala- Life skills and moral value development plan, Ninaada – Community music camp, Sapthanga – Sports skill development plan, Sanskruthi- cultural awareness development plan, Dharana – Mental Empowerment & development plan, Shodha – Analysis of Field trips, educational field trips and adventurous camping plan, Meemamsa – Science and technology plan, Soothra – Literary work and publishing plan and last but not the least is Pachche– Conservation of Green environment Plan. Thus she concluded her report by extending heartfelt thanks for all the stake holders and aspiring for some more ventures with the kind cooperation of the stake holders.
Later the Chief Guest Mr. Madhava Krishna Bhat gave his valuable opinion about the programme. He enriched us with his rich experience by sharing his journey of life, right from a low dignity job where he started his career to the current superior status which inspired the audience greatly. He ultimately praised the institution for its accomplishments and wished good luck in its forthcoming endeavours.
On this great occasion, students with great achievements were felicitated. Kumari Sanidhya P N was honoured on the stage for her literary achievements. She was recognized for her literary work and was elected as president of Taluk and District level Children Kannada Convention.
Mr. Rohith, the Physics Lecturer was felicitated for his contributions for the Atal Tinkering Lab and the key person and guide behind the Agricultural Technology Project “Moto- Areca” and was wished good luck for his future projects.
Post this the students who had obtained high scores in academics were also felicitated. Last but not the least were the students who could make place in Taluk and district level sports were also felicitated with cash prize. Also students who procured extra-ordinary places in co-curricular activities and inter-schools competitions were also awarded suitably.
Later, Mr. William, the guest of Varshikotsava expressed his admiration towards the achievements of the Institution in providing children holistic educational environment. He appreciated the efforts of the teaching staff, the support of the parents for cooperating in developing such a wonderful school. Concluding the talk he said the power of poetry is that it expresses the feelings and motivates the audience to patronize poetry and art of music.
The presidential remarks were given by Mr. B V Suresh Kumar, President of Sagar Academy of Education. He stressed upon the responsibilities of the parents and teachers in moulding the children to become good citizens of India and contribute towards the development of the nation. He highlighted that documenting the progress of the child is mandatory which will yield good result in understanding the progress of the child. Then a heart-felt vote of thanks was delivered by Vice Principal Mr. Arvind Gurjar. Lastly he thanked all the people who were responsible for the success of this mega event.
